Philadelphus Coronarius and Campanula Persicifolia

Campanula Persicifolia: From the Campanulaceae Family. Alba and Moerheimii has white blossoms. Evert Nilsson and Telham Beauty has blue blossoms. 



Kolkwitzia Amabilis: Pink Cloud from the Caprifoliaceae Family. The name Amabilis comes from the word amare in Latin, which means love. The pretty bush is called Fagerbusk in Norway.

Leucanthemum Vulgare: Called Prestekrage in Norway.

Lupinus Polyphyllus: From the Fabaceae Family. The name Lupinus comes from the word lupus in Latin, which means wolf. My Castle has orange blossoms. Chatelaine has pink blossoms. The Governor has blue blossoms. Noble Maiden has white blossoms.

Maidens's Blush: Bush rose. With pale pink blossoms.
 
Philadelphus Coronarius: From the Hydrangeaceae Family. Named Duftskjærsmin in Norway. Beautiful bush with an amazing odour.

Weigela Florida: From the Caprifoliaceae Family. Named after C.F Weigel in the end of the 18th Century.

20-21st Cent. Jane Russell

 
Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell was born on 21 June 1921, in Bemidji, Minnesota, USA. She was the daughter of Geraldine Jacobi and Roy William Russell. She had four brothers: Thomas Russell, Kenneth Russell, Jamie Russell and Wallace Russell. She studied drama and worked as a model. According to Jane Russell, "My mother used to say, 'You have a path from heaven and if you fall off of it, it'll be a problem, Jane.'" In 1941, Jane Russell was discovered by Howard Hughes. In 1943, Russell made her film debut as Rio McDonald in The Outlaw. She later said; "Yes, Howard Hughes invented a bra for me. Or, he tried to. And one of the seamless ones like they have now. He was way ahead of his time. But I never wore it in The Outlaw. And he never knew. He wasn't going to take my clothes off to check if I had it on. I just told him I did." Jane Russell married Bob Waterfield on 24 April 1943. In 1946, she was Joan Kenwood in Young Widow. In 1948, Calamity Jane in The Paleface. In 1951, Lenore Brent in His Kind of Woman and Mildred Goodhue in Double Dynamite. In 1952, Linda Rollins in The Las Vegas Story, Julie Benson in Macao, Mike Delroy in Son of Paleface and Belle Starr in Montana Belle. Jane Russell and Bob Waterfield adopted a girl, Tracy in February 1952. They adopted a boy, Thomas in December 1952. They later adopted another boy, Buck. In 1953, Jane Russell appeared as Dorothy Shaw in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes opposite Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) and Mary Carson in The French Line. Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe made their hand and foot prints on 26 June 1953, outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre, in Hollywood. In 1955, as Theresa Gray in Underwater!, Amanda in Foxfire, Nella Turner in The Tall Men and Bonnie Jones in Gentlemen Marry Brunettes with Jeanne Crain (1925-2003). In 1956, as Annie Caldash in Hot Blood and Mamie Stover in The Revolt of Mamie Stover. In 1957, Laurel Stevens in The Fuzzy Pink Nightgown. In 1966, Nona Williams in Johnny Reno and Jill Stone in Waco. In 1967, Mrs. Shorn in The Born Losers. Russell and Waterfield were divorced on 2 February 1967. Jane Russell married her second husband, Roger Barrett on 25 August 1968. Roger Barrett died on 18 November 1968. In 1970, she starred as Alabama Tigress in Darker than Amber. Jane Russell married her third husband, John Calvin Peoples on 31 January 1974, in Santa Barbara, California. In 1985, she published her book, Jane Russell: My Path and My Detours: An Autobiography. In 1989, Jane Russell received the Womens International Center Living Legacy Award. Her husband, John Calvin Peoples died in April 1999. In her later years she said; "Music has gone just as bananas as the movies. But kids are learning swing and going back to the music of the forties. There's a swing club near my home in Santa Barbara, and the kids are fantastic. There's no drinking, no smoking, just dancing all night long." Jane Russell died of respiratory failure aged 89, on Monday, 28 February 2011, in Santa Maria, California. She was buried in Santa Barbara Cemetery, Santa Barbara, California.

19-20th Cent. Wallis, Duchess of Windsor.

Bessie Wallis Warfield was born on 19 June 1896, in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania, USA. She was the daughter of Alice Montague and Teackle Wallis Warfield.

Wallis Warfield married Winfield Spencer on 8 November 1916. He was a naval aviator. Warfield and Spencer were divorced in 1927. Wallis Warfield married her second husband, Ernest Simpson on 21 July 1928. He was a divorced businessman. The couple moved to London. Wallis Simpson and Ernest Simpson were introduced to Edward, Prince of Wales (23 June 1894 - 28 May 1972) by Lady Thelma Furness (1904-1970) on 10 January 1931, at Melton Mowbray. He was the son of Mary of Teck, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom (26 May 1867 - 24 March 1953) and George V, King of the United Kingdom (3 June 1865 - 20 January 1936). In 1934, Wallis and the Prince of Wales began an affair.

King George V died on 20 January 1936, at Sandringham House, in Norfolk. He was interred at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. He was succeeded by his son, as Edward VIII, King of the United Kingdom. Edward VIII proposed to Wallis Simpson on 27 October 1936. Edward VIII abdicated on 11 December 1936, to marry Wallis Simpson. The former King declared in a radio broadcast on 11 December 1936; "...can't discharge the duties of King as I would wish to do without the help and support of the woman I love." He was succeeded by his brother, as George VI, King of the United Kingdom (1895-1952). The new King granted his brother the title, Duke of Windsor. Wallis Simpson and Ernest Simpson were divorced on 27 April 1937. King George VI and his wife, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (1900-2002) were crowned King and Queen Consort of the United Kingdom on 12 May 1937.

Wallis Simpson and Edward, Duke of Windsor were married on 3 June 1937, at the Château de Candé, in France. During World War II, the couple lived in France, Spain and Portugal. After the war they settled in France. King George VI died on 6 February 1952, at Sandringham House. He was interred at St. George's Chapel, in Windsor. He was succeeded by his daughter, as Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom. Her mother-in-law, Mary of Teck died on 24 March 1953, at Marlborough House, in London. She was interred at St. George's Chapel, in Windsor.

Edward, Duke of Windsor died on 28 May 1972, in Paris, France. He was interred at Frogmore, in Windsor. Wallis, Duchess of Windsor died on 24 April 1986. She was interred beside her husband at Frogmore, in Windsor.

16-17th Cent. Mumtaz Mahal

 
Princess Arjumand Banu Begum was born in April 1593. She was the daughter of Asaf Khan. In 1607, the Mughal Prince Khurram fell in love with the beautiful Persian Princess at first sight. He was the son of Jahangir, Emperor of India. Her paternal aunt, NurJahan married Jahangir, Emperor of India in 1611. Princess Arjumand Banu Begum married Prince Khurram in 1612. Her husband, succeeded as Shah Jahan, Emperor of India in 1628. He gave his third and favourite wife the name Mumtaz Mahal, which means "Beloved Ornament of the Palace", "Jewel of the Palace" or "the Chosen One" and the Royal seal, Mehr Uzaz. Mumtaz Mahal died during the birth of the couple's fourteenth child on 17 June 1631, in Burhanpur. She was cremated in Burhanpur. In memory of his beloved wife, Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal, in Agra. The monument was completed in 1653. Shah Jahan died in 1658. He was entombed with his favourite wife in the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

A beautiful afternoon Friday, 3. June 2011, in Oslo, the capital of Norway. I have captured Vigeland-anlegget, in Frognerparken completed in 1957. Holmenkollen first constructed in 1892, with Statue of Olav V, King of Norway (1903-1991). Statue of Sonja Henie (1912-1969) by Per Ung. The Royal Palace, built as a Royal residence from 1825 to 1848,  by H. Linstow with Statue of Karl XIV & III Johan, King of Sweden and Norway with the inscription of his motto, "Folkets Kjærlighet min Belønning" by Brynjulf Bergslien, Statue of Maud, Queen Consort of Norway (1869-1938) by Ada Madssens and Statue of Camilla Collett (1813-1895) by Gustav Vigeland. The new Opera House, in Bjørvika.
