Anna McKim was born on 2 August 1911, in New York, USA. She was the daughter of Anna Lehr and Samuel McKim. As both her parents were actors and her father also director, she made an early film debut. In 1916, she starred in Ramona. In 1917, The Man Hater. She attended the St. Catherine's Convent, in Manhattan. She continued her education at the Page School for Girls, in Los Angeles. Ann Dvorak was one of the 20 original Goldwyn Girls, with Lucille Ball, Virginia Bruce, Paulette Goddard and Betty Grable. She was a friend of Joan Crawford. Ann Dvorak married the actor, Leslie Fenton. Ann Dvorak married Nicholas Wade in 1951. Nicholas Wade died in 1977. Ann Dvorak died of stomach cancer aged 68, on 10 December 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was cremated. Ann Dvorak has a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, at 6321 Hollywood Boulevard.
